  If you're in the Twin Cities, even if you're only on a 2-3 hour layover at the airport, checking out Capers is an absolute must. The food in this wonderful establishment borders on gourmet quality at a cafeteria price. Every menu item is meticulously and creatively crafted using only the finest and freshest ingredients. The care that the chef puts into his dishes is highly evident The building this outstanding restaurant is located in might shy you away from stepping in, but do not let that stop you. Once you set eyes on the restaurant (located in the basement) itself, it is something to behold. The decor is very elegant and classic without being pretentious, but still does no justice to the sheer quality of the food. I highly recommend the grilled cheese with bacon and chips. The sandwich is made with brioche, grated fontina cheese, black truffle oil, truffle sea salt, a fresh Italian black summer truffle, olive oil, and grass fed thick cut bacon. The sandwich pairs excellently with the organic potato chips fried in truffle oil, and all of this for a mere $7.99
  
  I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul. Every time I have a visitor from out of town I try to make time for Capers, and let me tell you, they are always VERY pleasantly surprised.
